The Rede Justiça Criminal is a coalition of Brazilian non-profit civil society organizations. We exist to defend the fundamental rights of Brazilian citizens through decarceration policies and against the increase of the penal state.

Our Framework

We are a coalition of nine Brazilian civil society organizations. We have an executive secretariat in charge of managing our daily activities and with administrative and financial support from the headquarter member organization. Currently, RJC is headquartered at Gajop, in Recife.

2010

The Rede Justiça Criminal is created and Instituto Sou da Paz assumes its administrative and financial management.

2015

IDDD takes care of the administrative and financial management of the Rede Justiça Criminal.

2017

Gajop joins the Rede Justiça Criminal member organizations

2019

Ideas Assessoria Popular joins RJC’s coalition, which now has nine organizations in its formation.

2021

The Executive Secretariat of the network is transferred to Recife and Gajop takes over its administrative and financial management.
